External Links

The Disability Hub contains links to external websites. The majority of these sites have been purposely added as a part of the site’s overall contents. However, we sometimes use free web content that is provided by other sites that require us to insert a link to their site. Although The Disability Hub checks and regularly visits these external sites it cannot take responsibility for the content that is found on them, as this is out of our control. These sites are not opened in new windows.

Competitions

The Disability Hub often holds competitions. Competitions are open to all United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland occupants. If you are under the age of 13 then parental or guardian permission will be needed to enter, refer to our privacy policy. Anyone who wishes to enter any of our competitions must provide all requested details such as name, age and e-mail address. Please note the closing date for competitions, and ensure that all entries are in before this date.

The winner will be selected at random and notified either by post or e-mail. If the winner fails to claim their prize after 21 days of notification, another winner will be selected.

Discussion Forums and User- Provided Content

This applies to the community forum, the game review section as well as any other areas on the site that allows users to leave comments or submit information of any kind.

The forum has been created using aceboard.net, who provide free forums. Therefore, when using the forum, you will be directed away from The Disability Hub website. Please also be aware that some of the links and content in the forum area may not have been set up by The Disability Hub.

The community forum and other user input areas are monitored and moderated by The Disability Hub administrators. If any comments or posts go against our policy or are seen as inappropriate in any way they may be edited or deleted. Depending on how serious a violation, you may receive a warning or you may be temporarily suspended or permanently terminated from using The Disability Hub’s user content areas. The opinions expressed by members are not necessarily those of The Disability Hub, and therefore we are not responsible for post contents.

We encourage all members to keep personal information such as telephone numbers to yourselves, for your own safety. If personal safety is at all compromised The Disability Hub has the right to delete this information.

If you are under the age of 13, parental permission will be required, as personal information such as your e-mail address will be needed when setting up a forum account. Please read our privacy policy.

  6. Post information, software or any other forms of material that violates the rights of others. This includes the invasion of publicity rights, or material that is copyright, trademark or any other type of proprietary right protected. In this case permission should always be granted from the owner of the material.

  7. Post information, software or any other form of material that contains viruses, spy ware, or any other harmful components.

  8. Post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pornography, or any form of commercial solicitation.

  9. Post pointless, annoying or repetitive comments.

  10. Post questions or topics that are completely irrelevant to the forum sections.

If you provide any of the information or contents that is displayed on The Disability Hub website you:

  1. Own the rights to the content.

  2. Agree that all the information that you provide is true.
