We have searched the web to find a number of online books which are suitable for a number of disabilities:- Rockford's Rock Opera
This story contains narration, sound effects, songs and videos. However the whole story can still be appreciated through sound alone. This story is about a boy and his dog who go on an adventure to the Island of Infinity (where extinct animals live). It is designed for adults and children to enjoy. This site is based on art, the kids section has a number of interactive games some in which contain images and others just text. For example, become an art detective and join in in the interactive story and help find Grandpa's painting.

This site lists a number of sites that offer online stories for younger children, some in which get you to join in with a number of interactive features.

A collection of books by Dandi Palmer , which contain both words and pictures. Some of the books are designed for younger children (e.g. The Grunnick and Beaky and Squeaky) and some for teenagers (e.g. The Glee Machine and Different Dragons). You can view some of the material for free otherwise downloads are available at a small cost. Suitable for those with hearing impairments.
